In a wild-romantic location at the bottom of the wonderful Anaga Mountains in the green and lush north of Tenerife - that is Punta del Hidalgo.

Sustainable tourism made it possible here to preserve the original, Canary charme. Agriculture does still shape the land. Living in a finca, a holiday house or in a holiday apartment in the middle or near a banana plantation is very popular all around Punta del Hildago. Many inhabitants also live on the income of the fishing idustry. Because of that you should definitely visit a local restaurant during a visit in Punta del Hidalgo to taste a delicious fish dish with the local potatoes "papas arrugadas" with Mojo as a side dish.

The Canary and volcanic nature nearly incidentally attracts not only hikers (very popular hiking routes lead from the Punta del Hidalgo to Chinamada or to La Carboneras - both about 5 kilometres of hiking) but also kite surfers (like in El Médano).

Therefore enough shopping possibilities and gift shops exist in Punta del Hidalgo.

Anyone on the road with a rental car, can reach the capital city Santa Cruz or Puerto de la Cruz in about 45 minutes.

The southern airport is about 60 minutes away.
