The name of the town Buenavista (means "good view") does already reveal the location.

The community is located at the northwestern end of the Canary Island Tenerife.

With the Playa de las Arenas(a black volcanic sandy beach) Buenavista is a dream destination for individual holidays. Some very beautiful holiday apartments, holiday houses and fincas are established in Buenavista. Bathing tourists will also find their pleasure in the variable but also warm winter months. Because: When there is a bathing prohibition because of the streams in the ocean as a holiday guest you can also visit the local seawater pool "Piscina Municipal" at the promenade.

Also the location of the town is ideal for hikers, because it is situated at the foot of the Teno mountains. Starting point for hiking tours can be explored in immediate vicinity. (For example the 2 hours lasting hike from Buenavista to Punta de Teno). You can also play golf in Buenavista. A 18-hole course was opened here in 2003.
