El Médano in the south of Tenerife - Nice holiday houses at the beach

El Médano belongs to the community Granadilla de Abona and is one of the first holiday destinations in the sunny south of Tenerife.

Already native Canarios appreciated this yearlong warm place and rented themselves a cosy holiday house or apartment.

El Médano has never developed to an overcrowded mass tourism destination during the years. Which may be due to the often present strong winds here. Because: Also bathing tourists experience dreamlike and fully equipped beaches (with sun loungers and umbrellas) in El Médano. No insider tip is at this point the biggest natural sandy beach on Tenerife - the Playa la Tejita - (also popular for nude beach lovers).

A rental car is not necessary. Supermarkets, restaurants, bars and various other shopping possibilities are available in some walking-minutes. Despite you want to visit the southern tourism hotspots. Los Cristianos or Las Américas are reachable in about twenty minutes with a rental car - the southern airport in roughly ten minutes.

All destinations are of course also reachable with the public bus line.
