Siam Park in Costa Adeje
One of the most popular waterparks is called Siam Park. There is no much doubt to discover. Designed in Thai charm the park in Costa Adeje includes up to 15 individual theme parks. For children there is a waterpark with 120 attractions. On the area are exciting water slides with laser effects and sparkling wave pools. Wonderful artifically formed sandy beaches make you feel like lying on the faboulus promenade of Thailand.
There are many great alternatives to the famous Siam Park on Tenerife which invite you to relax and dream. Two of them are the Lago Martianez and the Parque Maritimo César Manrique.
Lago Martianez in the west of Tenerife
In the west of the island is Lago Martianez. In 1977 the Canarian artist César Manrique constructed the sea pool in Puerto de la Cruz. The impressive bathing complex covers an area of approx 30 000 square meters with seven pools and is located directly on the Atlantic coast. So it feels like swimming in the Atlantic. The entrance, decorated by an artful wind chime, takes the visitors to a journey full of relaxing and well-being. In winter there is a heated pool area and a warming whirlpool.
Local plants like palm trees or cacti complete the picture of the landscape. During the winter month the Lago Martianez is open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m..
For hungry guests the restaurant with a terrace and a bar offer drinks and food. Here you can enjoy the wonderful view of the Atlantic with a cup of coffee. The entrance costs 5,50 € per adult. There are some discounts for childen. Sunshades and and sunbeds are not included.
Parque Maritimo César Manrique in Santa Cruz
In Santa Cruz César Manrique created another impressive waterpark. The Parque Maritimo César Manrique extends over 20 000 square meters along the east coast. From here guests will have a unique view of the Santa Cruz Auditorium as well as the Palmetum Botanical Garden and the ocean.
In 1995, the park opened. The area has three seawater basins as well as an artificial waterfall. The paths are suitable for wheelchair users. A paid buffet and a poolbar spoil you with a varied offer. There a special entertainment programs for childen like playgrounds, bouncy castles or child make-ups.
In the wintert he Parque Maritimo is open between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. . Adults pay 2,50 € as well fort he sunbeds. Prices for children are reduced. Up to three years the entry is free.
